[Under Construction]

These United States

Patriotic songs of the United States Army from the time of the Civil War, many of which remained popular in the Indian War period and World Wars I & II.  These songs are performed in a simple, around the campfire style.  Reenactors’ Journal praised this one for its enthusiastic performances.

Dixie

Favorite songs of the Confederacy done in a simple, around the campfire style.  The History Channel selected six songs from this recording for use in its CD-ROM, The Civil War Experience, because of their authentic performances.  This is music the way the Southern Soldiers sang it.  Many of these songs remained popular with cowboys in the post-Civil War westward expansion.
